How the Realm Began

Yarn Born Mythical Creatures grew from a love of fantasy, folklore and storytelling—and a deep appreciation for the slow, mindful art of crochet. Dragons curled their way into my heart first, followed closely by fairies, mushroom folk, unicorns and other wee companions who seemed determined to exist.

The Creative Process

Every creature begins as an idea, then transforms through careful design and hours of detailed crochet work. I use premium yarns and thoughtful color combinations to bring each character to life. No two are exactly alike - each one carries its own personality and charm.
